11 is an open question on the human will to lock up, control, organize. An intimate journey towards letting oneself happen.
Circus and geometry, balance on chairs and Chinese Pole dance, 11 is the will to show the audience all the gears of the machine with an ironic look on the concept of fatality.
At the end an incredible building to climb, a column of chairs more than 7 meters high that represents the unconscious and the challenge of living, with oneself and with others.
Veronica Capozzoli is a circus artist and a director based in Italy. Her background is theater, circus, dance and philosophy, bringing together the different directions in a research effort centered on balance and the body geometry in relation to the object itself. She is working with various theater and circus companies in Italy and France and is a founding member of Kolektiv Lapso Cirk (David & Tomas, Léa Legrand e Carla Carnerero). It’s here that her solo show 11 is being made, currently in creation with the direction of Jorge Silvestre.
