The creator and promoter of the project is Sergio Cherubin. He is an artist-drummer who has been working as a freelance social worker for about twenty years. Through theatre, clowning and the ‘subtle’ frequencies of drums, combined with the imperceptible vibrations of sounds produced by the beating of mostly recycled objects (bins, pots, various utensils…), he magically enters into a relationship with apparently detached worlds. Interacting with his talent in symbiosis with groups of individuals who are “equal in a different way” and not only (prisoners, the elderly, adolescents, children…), he is able to grasp, extrapolate and spread that mysterious sense of belonging that only “special” people are able to transmit with the clamorous presence of their silences (“…between the silences and the babbling of sometimes disconnected words, there are great messages hidden…”). Thus rhythm and diversity rotate in symbiosis within a perfect gear, generating a precious instrument of inclusion for all, which pierces, excites, educates and involves encounter after encounter.
