Most Imbecilic Mime Ensemble Show

The Three Dots Company – M.I.M.E.S. – Most Imbecilic Mime Ensemble Show is the UK debut of the show by Mauro Groppo, Paolo Scaglia and Samuel Toye. MIMES consists of a series of mini-sketches, some of which follow one another and some of which seem to stand on their own. Mauro Groppo and Samuel Toye are delightful as the incessantly cheerful mimes, who try with all their might to convince their friend (Paolo Scaglia), who is indifferent and fed up, to join them in their hilarious and extravagant exploits. There are classic displays of stair-climbing, games with balls and light bulbs, as well as some amusing interactions with the audience; all comically underlined by the irritated non-conformity or resentful conformity of their sour-faced companion. The show is naturally very physical and the skill in creating a world that is for the most part wordless is abundantly evident.
